          • [QUOTE=redwhiteblue;410390]I have a weird obsession with this song at the moment, another I had on vinyl:

I've always had an obsession with this song too. I much appreciate and respect the Finn brothers.....brilliant muso's.

Really got into Tim's solo work post Enz. Aside from Fraction to Much Friction & Made My Day, this one is rarely heard these days.
            Anyone remember it?

This is my favourite Tim Finn song, I still have the 7inch single stacked away somewhere, I think I put it onto a disc years ago when napster was still around, if I cant find it I will just get off I tunes.

Saw them many times live. Even did a gig with the singer Brian Canham.

In this film clip no guitar although you can hear it. And Brian is now bald!

I already have it so save your money. Gman, it's in my all time top 50 for sure. I bought the Escapade album on itunes late last year and then recently added a Split Enz anthology and then the album I bought last week with all the female artists singing Tim and Neil's songs called "She Will Have Her Way". I posted a few of the tracks in the love song dedications thread.

Thankyou, it was one of the first songs I downloaded years ago when napster and limewire were around, ended up flicking all the stuff onto discs at the time, got some really good stuff which was unavailable or very hard to get, the project now is going through the discs but that is a project that is further down the track, have been pulling out random discs and playing them in the car which makes it easier locating the rare and elusive tracks that I want on my ipod.

My pleasure. The Finn Brothers are incredible lyricists. I'll give you their album they did together as well called Everyone Is Here. Beautiful and moving songs, including 'Won't Give In" and the album title comes from the lyrics to this one . I'm too lazy to move threads so I'll post it in here even though it was released in 2000's :

                              • The 70's and 80's is my favourite era, I often listen to this stuff while I'm doing review.
