It amazes me the ignorance of people who say its just cars going around, and around. Three drivers, in three different cars covered over 6klms in just over two minutes and finished less than .1 of a second a part. Yeah it's just cars going around and around. Did I mention that Bathurst this weekend will have more people at the event than the roosters will have a 3 years worth of home games...

Exactly. There are soo many elements that make up the weekend and that make up the race itself. Watching a pit crew in action is amazing. Watching the drivers manhandle their cars. The technical side, the physical side, the emotional side, the mechanical side... it it goes on and on.

Then there is the fans view... The spectacle, the sounds, the passion, the loyalty, the camping, the characters, the mountain itself, the parties, the beer, girls and dagwood dogs... and it goes over 5 days! Hundreds of thousands of people at the track and millions of TV viewers worldwide.

Oh yeah... and the cars going round and round and round... thats the best bit of all!

                              Where did the witches finish?

Must say the last 20 laps were some of the best racing I've seen in a long time.
And why was Dumbrell so concerned about running out of fuel? They had 100ml left at the finish line.....plenty!

The witch is casting spells on those who dont understand motor sport. The whole drama with the fuel was only part of the puzzle and shows just how technical the whole deal is. Calculations of many aspects of elite motor racing are so fine that its a science in itself and fantastic to understand and watch.
