Hey Conceirge, yeah- been to 4fourteen 3 times now. They do a 4 course degustation thing for $65, and it's great value....the 16 hour cooked brisket is worth $65 on it's own.

Love the place. A seat at the counter is awesome for two, but if you have a bigger party, the service is great.

Highly recommend it.

Often go past this place and wonder what it is like, have wanted to try it out but it looks quite small and it is quite full every time i go past.

Yeah mate, very busy, we got there early because we had the kids & it was empty, about half an hour later you couldn't move in the joint, still they handled everything beautifully, great service.

Was going to give it a try tonight after work but the bad weather set it so going to stay at home.
There is one very close to where i live at St Peters called Yiamas, had a mates 50th birthday there a few years ago and the food was great, been there a few times since and its still good but i have had better greek food elsewhere, still worth a visit though.

what ever u do dont go to Parea on Rocky point road, they had lamb on the spit on the menu and the farkers bought me yeeros LOL piece of crap place.

I went to the beverly Hills hotel...awesome check it out value and quality big time (the soft shell crab starter is a big winner)...there is also a killer good german place top feed and the best beer on tap afew doors down.

Hi guys, can anyone recommend a place to go for Saturday lunch for about 30 people? Any type of food.

Doesn't have to be fine dining....just good value, and obviousy a place that doesn't mind the noise that 30 people can make.

Also, somewhere that doesnt want to push you out the door as soon as you finish.

Anywhere in Sydney pretty much, but no further West than King Georges Rd.

Mate Beverley Hills Hotel, we had my missus suprise BD there two weeks ago about 24 of us, top value BUT the food is awesome. Make sure u have the soft shell crab salad starter is farkin unbelievable all the food is top quality massive serves and good value.
U wont b disappointed 110%

We'll be heading to The Sailor's Club at Rose Bay for my birthday lunch and then onto Henson Park to watch the Jets take on Wests. This used to be the fancy Pier restaurant but now the Doyle family have completely changed the menu to something more affordable. They had a party on New Year's Day and Mini was there so it must be good. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but the Tiramisu sounds like something I want to try. I've been looking for a decent one for years:

I go past there every day and didn't know that one existed..put it down on our list of places to explore..

For seafood Vaucluse Ocean Foods, 669 Old South Head Rd Vaucluse. Not a restaurant and a little pricey but it's very very good quality.

stsae, I'm having calamari from there tonight but being good and having home made brown rice and steamed veges with it.
