Called at the Druitt the other week after Panfers away.

Went in their most celebrated dining establishment and had a zinger meal with large fries.

      • Have had yum cha here a few times now including yesterday, a little bit different and all very fresh, would like to try their Asian tapas dinner menu one night, has a nice balcony to sit out on also.Did notice yesterday they have updated their yum cha menu with a few new things but have not updated it on the website yet.

        • Off to Maroubra Junction this evening. I am hanging out for the Noodle Junction's Szechuan Chicken and steamed rice. Simple, fast, fresh and spicy the way I like it. The Druitt never quite does it like this.

he he , I have noticed they have updated the menu, if you click the link that says yum cha it has the old menu but if you go into actual menu link then click on yum cha option it gives you the new menu.

            • Called in at the Henson Park Hotel last Sunday, I like what they have done even though they haven't done much from memory, the beer garden is still great, sat in the enclosed dining section which was still very open, shared fried squid which had the nicest coating I have ever tried on a dish like this, just yummy, then had the duck shepherd pie which was so comforting, that sort of comfort dish, also tried a bit of the snapper which was good.Burgers looked great and so did some of the share dish entrees like chicken wings and the lamb ribs, cant wait to go back again.Lots of boutique beers on tap plus the regulars, I ended up having a couple of hillbilly ciders which were very refreshing, think I found a semi regular, semi local hangout.

I go past Vicinty coming home from work on the bus, it always looks inviting, called in to have a look a couple of months ago when I went to the meat emporium, the menu looked good but was only feeling like a burger and chips so decided I will check it out properly another day.Have you ever been to Grounds? I have heard varying reports about it, more bad than good but when I see the line up to get in and all the screaming kids running around it is a place I had already crossed off my list a long time ago.

Vicinity was packed when I went past on the bus last night on the way home from work.As for Grounds I have heard that the food is ok but the coffee is very average by lots of people, even though I dont drink coffee I think if you are going to call yourself Grounds, coffee would be one thing that you would get right.
I have also noticed going past in the bus that Grandmas Little Bakery has been advertising a buffet lunch on Fridays and also it was also opened for dinner last night too.

                              • Went to A Tavola 348 Victoria St Darlo I would rate it as my best meal this year. Entree all under 20 mains most expensive 34 and deserts around 12, portions not too bad but the food is all hand made and amazing.

For an authentic Italian first class meal I recommend it, the wine is amazing too but thats where they get u the list is very expensive with the cheapest being 55.
