I recall you built a pizza oven in your yard??? I'm jealous that's my dream to have that sorta outdoor entertaining setup. One day my friend.

I have a mate up here who has similar, the pizza oven, the double BBQ with a plate and open flame and a smoker. Awesome place to visit when you add the pool and obligatory room attached with Fox etc. watched the odd Easts game there.

I finally finshed the back, woodfire pizza oven from perth, gas bbq plumed into the house so it never runs out + a coal bbq for those special steaks and a spit roast that fits a whole pig or lamb. Put in a cracking lighting system dinning area for 10 + lounge area, just need a massive LED tv foxtel and a kick asrse sound system so I can watch the premiers as I pull da pizzas out and drink Tooheys old.

Also painted a giant Rooster into the polished concrete, the missus cracked it with that but it is easier to ask for forgiveness then permission. Thats what the guy said to my mate when he bought his harley so I have adopted that lol.

I like cooking and grow my own meat etc. I'll bring you some home grown Pork or lamb when I head down, depending on what is ready/available at the time from my little farm.. Best you've ever tasted, beats all the crap you buy from butchers and S markets or any where......

We have a small Dorper and Wiltshire fat lamb enterprise and pork "at certain times of the year" on a 25 acre property in Mudgee, plenty of nice local produce, wines, port, fruit n veg, cheeses etc [ although the local brewerys beer is crap]. Sorry dude the hats gone...

            • Went to Marys at Newtown, to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement, noisy and grungy environment, average cocktail and an even less inspiring cheese burger all for $35, had high hopes for this place but first visit was very underwhelming so not sure whether I will go back again.

              • Had breakie at a brazilian joint farinhas in coogee today, $20 and they just keep bringing u freshly cooked food for the time u stay there. Chorizos, bacon, mushrooms, fruit, banana bread, cheesy bread rolls, fresh baked bread, yoghurt, eggs, coffee and 3 types of fresh juices, endless top ups. Great service, very polite and quality food. Dont think it can be beaten for value.

Check it out mate, im sure you will enjoy, it's sort of similar to eating a brasilian meat banquet where food keeps coming out every 5 minutes.

You're lucky to live in a city with all that choice SC, my breaky meal is null and void now cos we just stopped into hungry jacks on the way back to canberra. Double cheeseburger stunner meal it is then!

                    • Went to Bodega in Surry Hills Saturday night. Top place.

The portions are tapas size, and most of them aren't to expensive, (start at $6 I think) although the larger 'sharing plates' are $20 odd each. very good food though, and very casual - they even have a sign in the toilet saying 'do cocaine in our toilet'. I asked, but apparently it was BYO......

                      Highly recommended.

Another plus - it's about 80 metres from the KB on Foveaux St, so if they're busy - you retire to the pub and they call you when they're ready. I was a bit put out when our table was ready immediately!
