Flanagans was supberb, the deal started off with oysters with a raspberry vingarette which was nice, butterflied bbq prawns and squid rubbed with some sort of Indian spice, then came fish done two ways, a whole trevally each and mullet fillets, the trevally was just so nice, a truly underated eating fish and the mullet was done nicely, it also came with homemade chips and a decent salad and a bottle of wine, I couldn't fault the deal which was $69 for two people, there was more than enough food, I left full. The outlook on the beach was nice but it was rainy day when we went, also enjoyed the train ride down from Sydney, a very nice day out

SC, I found a new lunch place in the MLC Centre in Martin Place - run by the parents of our head cheerleader! Small world..

It's called UTO Chicken but they do really nice pasta, veges, burgers and baked dinners too

Good for this type of weather..

Went to Parma Cucina last night, very pleasant, had prosciutto with melon and figs for an entrée then spaghetti with clams and prawns for the main and a wicked ferrero rocher cheesecake, allin all very nice, I want to go back and try their pizzas, they looked mouth watering.

I did Booth St Bistro a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday evening, very nice again, had scallops done with blood sausage which was very nice then roast duck with roast veges which included beetroot, onion and the nicest bit of pumpkin I ever had, duck was good..They have a rotating roast every Sunday so would go back and try another one one time.

Glad you liked it, Lindas is one place I always order desert, not a big desert fan but their deserts are just delightful.I had a similar dish to your main a while ago, it was swordfish done in a broth with clams and Balmain bug, just yum, entrée I can rarely go past their salt and pepper prawns, just love them

                          • Went to slapandtickle @ Balmain before the test, their sausages and cheese souffle is the best East of the divide.. Was disappointed they didn't have any bugs in Balmain, must be some sort of myth?

                            • Little bit out of sydney, but went to a place called "coca chu" last week, its the first time that I couldn't pick which course I enjoyed more, the thinly sliced waygu for entrée, duck for main, and banana fritters with a coconut ice cream for dessert, its an asian fusion type place, and I'd be happy to go back to hamilton island to eat there again

                              • Went to the biennale at Cockatoo Island yesterday, afterwards for dinner headed to the Kirribilli Club for a mezze plate and a couple of glasses of bubbles while watching the view then kicked onto Pizza Rio at Milsons Point, ordered some tiger prawns and oysters from the fish shop next door and then had a couple of Pizza Rio's square pizzas between two washed down with a bottle of 5th leg white.just a lovely simple and cheap dinner out.
