Fonzarelli's has the best pizza I've ever tasted; Devils Touch comprises of Calibrese' hot salami fresh chilli etc? washed down with a byo bunnamagoo cab merlot... finished the weekend with a stop over to Karuah to collect 10 doz of the best Sydney rock oysters in all of OZ!

Planning a trip to Tassi to get on those oysters come November, anyone been?
Tassi lacks personality and any vibe, Nice place to look at but the mainland has plenty more to offer.. make sure you take your cousin or auntie so you don't look out of place..

Be interested in hearing what you think of the Nielson Park café redwhitblue, beautiful spot but have heard very mixed reviews of the food.
Make sure when you go to Grounds to check out Salt Meat Cheese which is right next door.

Yes, I've read the mixed reviews too. I'm going on the Monday during my week off when it will be quiet so I might just do the coffee and cake routine. They have a tofu dish which sounds ok. Salt Meat Cheese I refer to as the Hypertension Store!

They have wonderful places in the mall Andy..

I had a home brand carbonara which cost me $4 so I just placed another order online for Woolies to deliver on Saturday. I don't do menial tasks on match day...I don't want to exert myself before kick off...

                          • Was going to head over to Manly today but with the industrial dispute with the ferries in the afternoon ended up jumping on the bus to Watson Bay and had takeaway from Doyles, some reasonably nice prawns then tempura battered whiting with chips and salad washed down with a couple of glasses of Doyles unwooded chardonnay, very nice afternoon in the sun , seafood from Doyles takeaway pretty decent and not badly priced, still not as good as my favourite Lifeboat in Brooklyn but still very pleasant.

You should have stopped by on the way home. Thanks for the review as I was thinking of having Sunday lunch there shortly. Either there or Club Rose Bay which is the RSL. It has the same water views as Catalina and the Sailors Club and all I want is fish and chips anyway and I'd rather give my money to the RSL.

                              • Went to one of HH's recommended places Friday night, Linda's on King. Awesome food.

Me and Ms Loiner had 3 courses each, a bottle of wine plus a glass each and it was only $160. I had the scallops with pork, an eye fillet steak and a ginger sponge for dessert, which was world class. A proper pudding, with no salted caramel in sight!

                                Highly recommended.

Also, an update on the Henson....the new pork belly burger is the best burger I've had in a long time. It's outstanding.
