  • RIP Larry Hagman

Larry Hagman, better know as JR Ewing from Dallas, has passed away at age 81. It was touching to read that Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy were with him when he passed. Having your best friends along side you when your time is up is a blessing and a comfort. I was really looking forward to watching the remakes on GEM too.

This was the greatest TV cliffhanger ever:

Always nice to hear that someone has passed on with people that care beside them.

Always liked him from when I first saw him in the 60's in I Dream Of Jeanie.
A very talented & witty actor that will be missed.

    RIP Larry.

I was never much of a Dallas watcher, so Larry Hagman will always be Major Anthony Nelson to me.
Think I Dream of Jeannie has had a good workout on GEM or GO since they started up ...and I still love watching Jeannie put Tony into the poo and have him bamboozle Dr Bellows.

I could never understand how everytime he drove up to NASA ...always got that carspot right outside the front door ?

            RIP Larry Hagman

Chook it always annoyed me that he refused to bust a move on Jeannie. What a hottie she was.
                  RIP Larry.

                    LOL, yep.

The other one that annoyed me was Get Smart's agent 86 turning down the advances of agent 99 (Barbera Feldon was another hottie).
What was wrong with them? Batting for the other team?????

That little thing she did with her nose when she had her arms crossed making a wish come true drove my young bones bonkers! And that pink outfit........
Get smart, what a show! Siegfried and his accent was my favourite. Damn we had some great shows back then. F Troop. I remember the local Indians were lovers, not fighters LMFAO.

I think you're getting your witches and your genie's mixed up JC. Pedantic as this may seem, I'm pretty sure Samantha in Bewitched twitched her nose where as Jeannie blinked. Regardless, great shows and stunning women.

A few more shows back then that still make me laugh today are as some said Get Smart, Hogan's Heroes, The Addams Family, The Munsters, Gilligan's Island, Happy Days.

They all had stunning women in them too. Helga (I think that was her characters name, Klink's secretary) in Hogans Heroes, Tina Louise and Dawn Wells, Yvonne De Carlo, Carolyn Jones - the list goes on.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

                          Someone finnally shot JR...too soon?

A legend of TV, RIP Hagman.

007, my son is 15 and laughs his arse off at the ole B&W Addams Family show. Made me download the whole series for his media centre, loves the show.

The funniest thing about those shows I find today is the canned laughter sounds exactly the same for all shows. Dunno whether it's because they digitised them, but you can clearly hear the same laughter on all those old shows.

                          Chook.

Yep spot on Hawkeye, much preferred Larry Hagman in I Dream Of Jeannie, i could barely stomach watching Dallas in its original run[barring Victoria Principal ] and the current remake i watched the first episode and that was enough, horrible.

Jeannie was a hottie. Apparently back in their day in her pink arabian outfit she was to hot for American TV in the late 50's ..... wasn't she barred from showing her belly button on tv ?

Never understood guys like Major Nelson or Darrin Stevens ...they had good looking woman who had all these magical powers and could give them anything they wanted ....and they wouldn't let them give them anything .....huge disappointments to the male species !
Roger Healy had the right idea though !
