I think there is plenty in what they both say, I dont think that the gov is actually in charge any more in most countries....imo its already happend globalisation and the fckn franchise has fcked us all for good and there is no coming back.

When I was a kid there was a bread shop, butcher, fruit shop, corner shop, milk bar, take away, toy shop, servo in ever suburb, families making money. Woolworth Maccas westfeild and places like toys r us have closed everything down and the chemist are next.... with all our dollars going offshore. One economy goes down now and we all catch the cold.

It's called Capitalism and it's proven to be an abject failure for all but a select few. The greatest Capilaistic country on the planet is 16 Trllion dollars in debt, it does not work and it will eventually collapse under the weight of debt. It's simple economics, any system that uses debt as an asset is doomed.

There was a great article in the paper the other day written by Jeff Kennet and he said that economies such as the US UK Europe and to an extent Australia used the principle of borrowing and throwing money into the economy to try and buy and borrow them selfs out of the hole, it was quite interesting. I cant remb all the examples but one was Turkey spening and developing within its means and its going great guns.
I dont think there is anything wrong with capitalism but it needs to be better balanced ie the the franchise that really needs to go and I think it would spread the weealth and oppertunity. Anyhow I hope they stop spending and borrowing and start paying off the aussie mortgage so we dont all become debt slaves lol.
