Seeing as new bars seem to open every week in Sydney, how about a thread dedicated to boozers that are worth trying?

I'll start off with one that's not exactly new, but is worth a visit...The Forresters on Foveaux St. Since Ricko left a year or so ago, it's a terrific pub. Great food, always chockers and some top talent on a weekend.

If this thread doesn't take off, I'm happy to do a 'pub of the week' style thing....seeing as I'm a bit of an alky.

I enjoy the East End Brewery here in HK. I live on the East side of the island and there amuch less pubs thn the Central area. Its only 10 minutes to downtown but its always good to have a local. Great choice of brews and good pub food.

Wooloomooloo Bay Hotel used to be good for a few bevvys and a decent feed on a Saturday arvo. Been a while though, may not even exist now for all I know.

Used to be a regular at the Blue Gum Hotel in Waitara until I moved to the ACT. Dont have one there. Over here in The Hague, there are piss holes everywhere but for something a bit like home, I go to Ocaseys. Good feed and always puts on a good sports night with whatevers on. The owners a mate and he always opens early for us during origin, the NRL GF and the GayFL GF.
