Dont we know that one! I asked the missus if I could go to a hockey game tomorrow night. She said 'yes... of course' but you wait. Tomorrow the guilt trip will be played and I probably wont end up going!

I enjoy the East End Brewery here in HK. I live on the East side of the island and there amuch less pubs thn the Central area. Its only 10 minutes to downtown but its always good to have a local. Great choice of brews and good pub food.
It is mate, the lovely Ms Harvey. Been a big fan for a long time.

I've got a mate who goes there a bit, but to be honest, it's too far for me to go. There are tons of pubs in my local area that get preference, plus all the ones in Surry Hills.

Platform 3 at Tuggeranong inspired the UFC, one of the counter lunch menu items was a good left hook. Skanky women, dreadlocks as far as the eye can see, local thrash talent music, god it was good pub.

The Kingo at Manuka is always good for a feed, they have the "cook your own" grill and quality dead cow to throw on it.

The Royal Hotel in Forbes was my regular drinking hole when I was 15. It closed about 10 years ago, it's a fashion shop now, I reckon it'd still smell like spew.

              Chook.

The recently re opened Newtown Hotel in Newtown is very nice and slick now, great beer garden, new balcony upstairs and also a restaurant called Animal i want to try, apart from that i like the back bar at The Bank hotel Newtown I love the beer garden and bistro at the Warren View hotel in Enmore also.Used to go to the Union Hotel in Newtown a bit but that has really gone down hill.

We must go to the same pubs HH....I was in the Bank last Friday, and the Newtown hotel a couple of weeks before that. They've done the Newtown out very well, looks to be a cracking pub, but a 6 foot 4 bloke in a dress and wig still runs the meat raffle.

Walked past the Warren View on the way home, and went in the Vic instead. Awesome band on Friay night...well, if a girl playing a guitar and singing counts as a band.....

Meeting in the Duke tonight, before the Band of Horses gig at the Enmore.

Yeah i was at the Newtown on Friday night and a drag queen was running the raffle, i think the same drag queen does the trivia on one of the week nights. Before it closed a few years ago it was a horrible run down old pub but since the refit is a top notch pub, it gets a good mix of the gay and straight crowd, mind you most pubs in Newtown do.I love the back area of The Bank Hotel and often go there on a Sunday arvo, mind you the crowds have dropped off there a bit since the Newtown reopened.
Havent been to the Vic for years even though i could walk there in about 20 mins, called into The Golden Barley walking home a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years, like the beer garden there too.

mate it has a reputation of being one of the roughest pubs in new south wales!

Yeah, i meant the Vic on the Park...which seems to have rebranded itself as The Vic.

If you mean gay, no they're not. Not that there's anything wrong with it.....

I'd be struggling to name a gay pub in Surry Hills. They're all either full of hipsters, students, backpackers, hot chicks, or old piss artists.

Do yourself a favour and get on the lash around there when we have a home game. It's about a million times* better than going back to the club

*This may be a slight exaggeration, but it's certainly in the high 1000's

Went to one of the newish small bars last night on Enmore rd, the Bar Racuda (get it?). Friendly staff, good music and drinks not too expensive. $6 for a Corona.

Worth a drop in next time you're off to a gig at the Enmore.
