I live in Gladstone and we had 3 days of solid rain - a metre of rain was recorded. We live on a hill and our games room flooded just from the back up of water.
Just heard that we had more rain than in the 2011 floods.
Neighbour across the road had his tree fall down and block the road and some people in low laying areas have been flooded.

Rain isn't the major problem now it's the farking wind.

I am surprised we haven't lost a few windows as yet, the trees look like they've been on the jack'n'jills all night, can't stop dancing.

      How excitement.

Lost our outdoor area shade sail overnight...snapped the cables.
Roofs off on a few houses nearby. One had its entire roof peeled off & then thrown onto power lines.
Power out to most of the Southern Gold Coast.
        Crazy stuff.....good job it ain't a cyclone :/

Not a cyclone, a farking KFC twister.

Went for a cruise, the rivers lapping, the surf is outta control and there are trees and debris everywhere. Best thing I saw was the Sands looks like the roofs blowing off. Cops everywhere down there. Shops were quiet. In and out baby, just how I like it.

So, the Sands has the pootential to be sandy?

Speaking of sand....our old VR is covered in it...so is the street......if I wanted everything to be sandblasted I would have booked it in to a panel beater......geezus.
