Might just be but if u go to the trouble of getting a booster u will never have reception prob again. I live on acreage in a valley and could not get free to air at all. Not that I really cared as I have austar. When I got the cable guy to add a few more austar plugs throughout the bedrooms (cash of course) I just got him to put a booster on the aerial. Good as gold

JC I hear where you are coming from...BUT....over the years I have spent $$$$$$ on FTA signal problems. From the old VHF to UHF to Digital to HD. It just seems that as soon as we upgrade to the latest wizzbang technology we then have to spend more on the next upgrade. Over spending heaps on a basically shit service.
We are renting ATM & I am over spending money on something that isn't mine (regardless of whether I take it with me or not).
It's a conspiracy, I tells ya.

Anyway for $38 I can watch the FTA footy on Nein (with sound turned down, mostly).
And the better half is happy, now. All her documentary stuff is perfect pic with no dropouts.

And yes, the Cable Guys are still out there. Unfortunately there still a lot of cowboys amongst them. I know I've found a few of them in the past :/

Not sure how others are experiencing it but I find it frustrating how some channels can be viewed perfectly and other can't. For the last 4 weeks channel Nine and it's other channels like GO or Gem don't exist. Last time I saw Nine well was during the Anzac game. Not sure what happened since but no matter what I do with the aerial, I can't see a thing...Meanwhile SBS, ABC and even TVS are perfect. Why have we gone to a system that it still is not perfect? It can't be the location cause I was living in the City and had problems with some channels and now living in Newtown I am having Nine problems. Not happy.

I live just down the road from Newtown at St Peters.Every channel is perfect through the main ariel of the unit building.In the bedroom I have a smaller set and just use rabbit ears, pic still perfect but cannot get the ABC and Nine or Gem from Sydney but pick up Win and Gem from the Illawarra coast plus all the other Illawarra channels, all crystal clear, just means moving the ariel around a bit, so in essence the only thing I cannot watch in the bedroom is the ABC.
