i dont have the highest regard for k rudd , but whoever is in the office of prime minister of our country even abbott if that does occur i would treat with respect and dignity for the position not the person, over many years i have been fortunate to engage with many australian politicians, gough, joe b peterson, john howard, frazer, hawke richo. i did tend to get on better with those from the alp although i must admit one on one joe was a complete gentleman, frazer was a pig of a man arrogant to the extreme, i ended up having a blue with hawke before he was pm, richo was interesting, howard a nice old man, gough was my pick of the lot a very intelligent affable man, genuine in his conversation, i met him many times over my years flying for qantas.i havnt met abbott i probably never will , but id at least shake his hand with respect, at least he did play prop forward in real scrums? however what most concerns me is his obvious attraction to the sort of people like gina and rupert, although hawke was infatuated with abeles too?power and money?i gues rudds got the money just like turnbull but now he wants the power, i think hes an egomaniac?

Steve, if the Prime Minister wants to be friends with rich, successful people, is that a bad thing?
I know Bob Hawke and Sir Richard Branson were friends (last time I checked) and even though he's the modern day Howard Hughes, Richard Branson is a very successful businessman.
I also happen to know that Paul Keating was very, very friendly with Janet Homes a Court. Not so much with Robert but c'est la vie.SUPER DRAGON!

I've always believed that the last true old style ALP leader - the one with bloodlines and brain patterns tied to why the party was started in the first place - was Arthur Caldwell.
He died when I was six months old.
That's 39+ years since the ALP was even relevant. Bob Hawke and definately Paul Keating were more Lib than Lab.SUPER DRAGON!
