Hopefully if people believe he will drop the carbon tax he might actually get a workable majority so his govt. isn't hamstrung like Gillard's was, IMO maaaaaaaaaattttes!

And yes, go go Easts, Blues & Aussies v Poms!!
The thing is he cannot get it through after the election either as the new senators that are elected at this election will not take there place in parliament until 1/7/2014 which is when he has promised that the ETS would start. Therefore the earliest it could possibly really start is 1/7/2015 which is exactly what Gillard had already given us. Rudd knows this and he also knows he is lying just conn us at the upcomming election.

And btw an ets linked to the European ETS is f--ked anyway because although in the short term it is likely to be around $6 - $10 per tonne some forecast that by 2020 it will $70 per tonne far above the $24 per tonne we are paying under the current carbon tax.

Everyone is avoiding mentioning the real truths.

        1. There are many people on both sides of the politics, including Malcolm Turnbull, Kevin Rudd's Wife Terese Rein and John Hewson who will make a shipload of money out of an E.T.S.

        2. China is just waiting for Australia to commit to the E.T.S. then they take a percentage of their carbon credits, which dwarf ours, and push the price up to 300 dollars a tonne of harmless life giving gas, if not more.

        3. Australia wants to stop Japan killing whales. Whales eat Phytoplankton which live on CO2, as they are the animal equivalent of plants. You kill them, CO2, that harmless life giving gas, gets released en masse into the atmosphere.
        SUPER DRAGON!

No doubt the real reason is the banksters and there mates will make billions on trading carbon credits. The end game is having individuals trading carbon credits instead of money when the world financial/credit system finally collapses under a weight of debt.
