The takeaway at Shalvey Shops is ok, a bit heavy on the chips tho. The Carousel has good chinese. The Plumpton (pig shit)Inn has a decent bbq...but my fave is Armando's at Rooty Hill, right next to the station and the pub

Here it is ladies..
750g sebago potatoes, peeled, cut into 4cm pieces
2 carrots, peeled, finely diced
1/8 (320g) savoy cabbage, finely shredded
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 brown onion, finely chopped
40g butter, chopped
400g sirloin steak, trimmed
olive oil cooking spray
mild English mustard, to serve

Ah mate, Bubble & Squeak is usually left over roast dinner, cut up & fried up in the pan, usually bound together with a whisked egg, but only if you we're well off, also if you can manage to get some lard or some of the dripping from the roast to cook it all in it tastes better, hmmmmmm lard!

This has turned into a 'alltime thread'........check out JJ Chinese restuarant over on the Old Mt Druitt Side...I used to frequent it so don't expect an upmarket place like most of Mt Druitt is these days....they do a mean Honey Chicken or Lemon Chicken,,,,(sorry no goat but who knows they may do special requests

Great value for money.....order a tray of honey chicken and a tray of fried rice or a tray of whatever you like
