Robbo's brother, Dean...
Ive just been watching snippets of the whole Essendon drug scandal in a Channel 7 interview with Dean Robinson.
You could see Trent in him straight away. Anyway id heard about the story but never assumed they were brothers.
It sounds like his brother Dean has been through a lot ... being stood down by Essendon, contemplating suicide etc.
Hopefully he pulls through and the whole family move past this.
Just thought id mention this as id be surprised if I was the only one that didn't know Trent had a brother involved in sport, let alone in such a high profile drama...

I came to realise Trent had a brother in sport when it was reported that Dean was sacked by Essendon earlier this year. Something really smells at Essendon and I think Dean has been made a scape goat. I couldn't trust that James Hird character as far as I could throw him and that would not be very far.
Yes suffering depression and contemplating suicide is a very scary place to be in and I hope he does't go back to the dark place in which the black dog collars you. He said the only thing that stopped him grabbing the knife was thinking about his loved ones I remember him saying he was thinking of his young daughter once and how he couldn't leave his wife and kids behind.

My goodness, what a coaching job being done by Trent, with the worry of his brother heavy on his mind, as the Rooster family we have to do what we can to help the Robinsons thru this, I don't know what, but people in the club must have some ideas how we can help the family I have had a couple of friends with depression, and its a curse, one day you look fine, and seem to be coping, the next day you are a basket case, and wanting to end it, Michael Holdings cricket nic name of Whispering Death, is a very appropriate name for it, my very best wishes to the Robinson family, I hope somehow , they can survive this mess.Last edited by Burnt Rooster; 08-02-2013, 12:47 AM.Comment

I agree. James Hird is a protected species at Essedon and Robinson has been made a scapegoat. I'm sure there is a place for him at the Roosters. Everyone deserves a second chance and if he handles himself anything like his brother he would be a great asset to our club.Comment

Yeh it was a hard story to watch.
I agree with the sentiments of helping the family out however we can. Must be a hard time for Robbo with his brother always in the back of his mind.
