As an ex Cop , Im so glad others have this attitude Horrie. Altho in saying that, I wouldnt have normally booked someone for no P plates. It would all depend on their attitude really. If the kid was a smart ass, then BANG!!! Have a ticket or 2. If i believe they honestly just stuffed up, was sorry and prob would learn ftom it, then a warning was enough. You have no idea how many of these kids mouth off, and for that reason only, end up getting a ticket when they normally would have got a warning. 😖

I was always taught to respect police so i was respectful to him and said sorry, still got the fine tho haha. Annoying thing is after i got the ticket they moved the RBT along to another area... if i was just 2 mins slower haha

RBT must have been out in force after the game as I was checked as well. Copper who breathalised me asked how the game had gone and told me to remind the Copper at the end of the line which team had won the GF last year - obviously a Manly fan. So I obligingly gave him a shout out and a wave as I went on my way, which he took with a good humoured grin.

Second time in a year Iv'e been tested after the footy - the other was after Anzac Day last year.
