                • Something that doesn't require much cooking tonight because of the heat.

Last night had Vietnamese at Surry Hills after the Swans game.
Stuffed chicken wing and salt and pepper mixed veges then had chicken hot pot which was basically a mild chicken curry with rice, very enjoyable.

                  • Going to have chicken thighs done in lemon and water in the oven tonight with a green salad.

Not sure whats going on with the chicken thighs at Woolworths at the moment, these are so small they are almost like budgie wings. Coles deli and the butchers in the centre don't sell the thighs by them self.
Usually we buy 4 or 6 depending on the size but this time we bought 8 and they were still cheaper than our normal purchases of them. The good thing is that will cook quicker.

Are you referring to the chicken thigh cutlets with bone in Horrie? I needed 5 of them for a recipe a few weeks ago. The ones in Woollies were ridiculously small as you say. I ended up going to Coles which had a pack of bigger ones.

By the way, I have the lamb meatballs made and ready to go for the cook later today.

Yep they are the one MR, i usually don't like buying the packs of chicken but a few weeks ago Woolworths had no thigh cutlets so i bought a pack from Coles and they were actually very good and better quality than the Woolies ones, unfortunately the last two times i have been to my local Coles they haven't had any of the thigh cutlets so i didn't even check today, The time before when i got them at Woolies they had two big trays of tiny ones in the deli but they had a few bigger ones separate so i got the three medium ones and a huge one which still had the top part of the leg attached but not the whole drumstick, the leg bone had been hacked through, strangest cut i had ever seen.

These tiny thighs tonight are going to take no time to roast.

Enjoy those lamb meat balls, they are a favourite in our household.

I tried the Woollies deli too but like the trays, they were really small. I hope I don’t have the same problem as you did with Coles suddenly not stocking them.
