A beef burger should always have beetroot on it

          • LOL...I had beetroot in my tuna and chickpea salad for lunch and just had some now with the corned beef. I found Dad's long BBQ fork in my utensils too...turned off the footy already..I can't cope..

                    • Did a leg of lamb and some spud on the BBQ. Also made some cocktails to whet our appetites (daiquiris tonight as I bought some Fijian white rum and didn't know what to do with it).

Also got some quince from our garden stewing away. Hopefully it'll be ready by dessert time.

                      • That all looks fabulous Ism..I've been stewing a lot of fruit to make compote to go on my gluten free crepes.

I didn't realise I had my loyalty discount from our local Thai until I went to pay for it. On Monday I got Thai style BBQ chicken with lots of veges and tofu with peanut sauce and more veges. Had enough for 2 meals but I did add extra carrot, broccoli and broccolini last night. Cost me $7.95 .

Do you use a lot of sugar when you stew the quinces Ism ?

Have never cooked with quince before and i like the idea of having them as a desert but was watching a Greek cooking show not long ago and the person made a chicken and quince dish which looked yummy, i found the recipe and might try and make it one day .
