Not to cast aspersions on your good lady,'s tastes King, but...I am now feeling a trifle bilious.

Last night had beef and capsicum rissoles from Mountain Side meats butcher from Shoalhaven Heads, bloody lovely, had steamed carrot, zucchini , corn and potato bake with it.
I love curried sausages and make it once a month. I’ll be cooking up a big batch of my spaghetti bolognaise tomorrow. I make enough to freeze three family sized meals.

We both had seconds and there is still a bit left over for my lunch tomorrow before i start work.
Have to work out a couple of footy friendly dinners for the next two nights with the Roosters on Friday night and the Swans on Saturday night, has to be lap food in front of the telly so pizza will probably be on the menu one of the nights.

Pizza sounds like a good plan. We’re having takeaway tonight. Not sure what yet though. Takeaway is getting ridiculously expensive these days. The spag bol is all done and sorted into containers and will be one of our meals next week.

Had shepherds pie tonight, nice and simple, it was in the oven when i got from work so cracked open a really nice red to have with while watching the Roosters demolish the Eels.
Most likely pizza tomorrow night now, most likely wont make my own but either order a couple from one of the nearby Italians or get a couple of fresh pre made ones from Panetta at work. It depends also of what type of day i have at work i have in the back of my mind to make something like apricot chicken or chicken in beer, feel like cooking an old fashioned dish like that but it will be dependent on the day i have at work but i think pizza will win and will have some nice nibbles before hand.

I haven’t made shepherds pie for a while. What a great idea. Mine is more a cottage pie though as I use beef mince. What type of mince do you use? Beef strog has been requested here tonight so I guess that’s what I’m cooking. Enjoy your pizza tonight. Or apricot chicken, that’s another one that’s popular in our house.

I use beef mince but i always call it shepherds pie but it is really only a cottage pie..Yum to stroganoff, i do a pretty decent one, used to always use sour cream but the last few times i have made it i have used Greek yoghurt instead, it makes it feel a bit lighter. Pizza tonight and going to order in, i went and looked at the pre made ones in Panetta during my lunch break and even though they looked good i thought i feel like ones from Made In Italy, a small chain near where we live.

I use less sour cream too otherwise it’s a bit too heavy on the cream. I like the idea of using Greek yoghurt though.

I probably make stroganoff once or twice a year and the last three times i have made it i have used the Greek yoghurt and prefer it now that way compared to heaviness of the sour cream. Do you serve yours with noodles or rice ? most recipe books say to serve with noodles but i serve mine up with steamed chat potatoes and steamed green beans.

I usually use noodles or plain pasta, something very bland to go with the rich sauce. I also add a green veg such as broccoli or steamed carrot. I should try your yoghurt idea, the only problem is it’s one of my daughters favourite dishes. She generally fusses over meat but loves this meal and it’s because of the sauce. She’ll probably complain if I change it up!

I still love it with sour cream but i liked when i experimented with the Greek yoghurt to make a lighter and healthier version to have at home. If i ever order it at restaurant i would want the sour cream version.
