It can cover those like me who have an autoimmune condition called coeliac disease or celiac for the Americans who love to spell words differently. I won't go into the side effects as this is a food related thread however off the back of what Andy just posted about 'in'..it does involve being 'in' one's bathroom for a very long time afterwards if one has the disease and then digests gluten..

Hope you are well Crab and good to see you in other threads on here too..enjoy the 2024 season..I'm just making a fleeting visit to acknowledge some of the messages in a few threads...

      • Not dinner but a friend gave us some excess roma tomatoes, i was going to semi dry them in the oven but probably didn't have quite enough so cooked them up for breakfast in olive oil with a sprinkle of salt and oregano and let them cook right down, absolutely scrummmy on toast and also had some scrambled eggs with them, it was a great change from the usual cereal or porridge.

Seeing it is in the food and dinner thread we can always put in this version of the song

I remember dining in as a family at the old Pizza Hut. It was a real treat for us on a trip to Sydney to visit the grandparents. The make your own desserts from the buffet was our favourite.

G'day RWB , I'm a lot better after a combined total of 6 months of hospitalisation and multiple surgeries since October 2022 , thanks for asking . I've got an immune issue too called Lupus vasculitis that's given me the grief . I was being flippant re the gluten free as I know a few people who use the tag as an attention seeking mechanism. Obviously not you and I hope you can keep on top of it and continue your support for the Mighty Roosters in our 2024 campaign as will I. Cheers Crab . N.b just scotch fillet, home made chips and Greek salad here tonight.

Thanks Crab and I do remember now you had a lot of hospitalisation too. I’m pleased you have come through it enough to enjoy what sounds like some pretty spectacular meals these days. Yes my neighbours and I are looking forward to some Roosters footy and the brother of one of them is going to Vegas.

I won’t bother posting again as it seems the 4 T’s of Toxicity, Triggered, Trolling and Tumbleweeds are still prevalent on here. I’ll let the self appointed one of this place continue to rule over what seems to be an ever shrinking fiefdom. Its very sad how we now in 2024 and some have not evolved. I feel like i’ve stumbled into one of those coastal towns where it used be happy, thriving and sunny and now it’s just a few residents shuffling around the streets mumbling to themselves and patting each other on the back for inconsequential nonsense. It must be awful to be trapped in such dull and negative surroundings..I can actually hear those rusty old saloon doors flapping in the breeze…

You have a very active imagination. I would dare say most if not all of us here are thrilled that you have chosen to return.

This place is not some quiet coastal town It is The Hotel California You can check out but you can never leave

When Pizza Hut first opened in Australia there was no such thing as gourmet pizza's anywhere and their pepperoni pizza's were the bomb, so delicious , they then bought in the salad bar which i loved, as years went by the all you eat was good but the quality started going down hill after the popularity went on and they had to cover costs for extra over heads, it was still good but going down hill quickly. I miss the old pizza hut and something that you could not really capture again from the good old days. I do notice Orange still has an all you can eat buffet.. I miss the old pepperoni pizza's.

I think the media kicked up a fuss about the poor hygiene around buffet type self service options and that was the beginning of the end, if I remember correctly? The place in Orange doesn’t have the greatest reputation from what I’ve heard. I have quite a few family members who live nearby to Orange. But I still have fond childhood memories of eating at Pizza Hut. Then there was Sizzler in the 90s.

                                From the Pizza Hut site.

Whilst we have a gluten free crust option which can be selected with any large pizza choice, Pizza Hut cannot guarantee 100% allergen-free preparation ...
