Lol's , i was so depressed after being at that spineless effort from our team today, better half is away so having a bit of a bachelors diet , i had two choices in mind coming home from the football, it was either go to the Pastizzi cafe who were having their monthly special rabbit night or get Clem's chicken , it was a choice of which team mascot to eat, seeing i had left over potato bake from earlier in the week and also left over peas i decided on Clems fried chicken as it was an easy option with the left overs. Think i will be in the mood to eat rabbit soon though.

The Maltese cafe does it Cacciatore style plus also with spaghetti, keen to try their version one day, the only place i have had rabbit in recent years is at Alchemy cafe in Surry Hills which they do it in a cream sauce. My mother used to bake a whole rabbit but she didn't really like eating so guess who got most, it was back in the day when you could get wild rabbits, there taste is so much nicer than the farmed ones.

A tight arsed old fed named 'teddy the turd' used to share fried rabbit pieces, with me,that his missus had cooked, when we worked together in the under ground coalmines. It was delicious, better than chicken !

I only remember eating rabbit once a long long time ago when I was a kid. My grandmother made it, but I can’t remember all the details as I was too young to remember much about it.

I was the same with another meat, it actually was goose, when we had the house in Paddington there were a few flatettes in the back yard and one of the boarders bought a goose and it roamed around the back yard, i was actually scared of it as it used to squawk a lot if anyone got near it, needless to say the goose was bought to fatten up and one day the goose wasn't in the backyard, it had been killed and plucked by the guy and next thing i know my mother was cooking the whole bird, i have vague memories of eating it,i must have been between 4-6 year old at the time but i do remember i liked the taste, i had not had goose again till about 5 years ago when the cafe i mentioned in Surry Hills, Alchemy had it on the menu and i tried it again, it was good but it didn't bring back the memories that i had from it back in 60 s.
