      • Thai red duck curry. For the missus (it's her favourite dish) who found out today her mother only has days to live.

Decided to take a picture so that I could post it on here as I reckon it's (sadly) a pretty good summary of how our season went after Walker and Cheese got injured.

Side note about travel - was gonna call Florence a bit of a bust as it has a LOT of annoying Americans there ruining the vibe. However the food was awesome and on my final night there I went for a run... amazing stuff!!! Never seen a more beautiful night run (including around Lake Ginninderra at night :P ).
Sums up our season I guess.

It was and I remember my Wife's Grandmother cooking these and other Russian dishes when we visited them in Russia years and years ago - Both passed now - Her Grandfather was a political commissar in the great patriotic war - it was a religious event to toast Lenin and Stalin before the evening meal - vodka of course - My Wife's Grandfather had their pictures on one of the walls in a very spacious house granted to him for services to the motherland - I had a difficult time doing that though. Anyway

                            • Lol, dinner going to be a bit later now, just had the wedges in the oven for half an hour and just got them out to turn but there is no heat in the oven, stove top working fine though. Time to go shopping for a new stove.

If it's a fan forced electric oven it's probably just the element around the fan Horrie. Couple of hundred bucks v new oven price . We had Humpty Doo barramundi steamed with lime slices. Hand cut chips , deep fried not air fried , with chicken salt . Simple but delicious .
