Usually i only buy the Coles or Woolies chickens for making a quick mornay style chicken dish or want some for sandwiches but they had them reduced yesterday at Coles and have to admit the one i had last night tasted so much better than they normally do. Just had some of the left overs for lunch.

While having drinks at the Coopers Hotel in Newtown and deciding whether we go to the Maltese Cafe or Rosso Antico for dinner the rain came tumbling down ,we stayed for another drink and i spied out the window of a Chinese restaurant across the road called Best Gourmet, i have often walked past it seeing the mother making dumplings in the window, tonight from the pub you could see there were a few spare tables and we only had to cross the road so i thought no brainer lets try it, great choice, one of the best feeds i had for ages, two big plates of dumplings, sizzling BBQ pork and rice and a bottle of wine off their wine list, came in just under $88 , great value, will be back.
