I only tried it with the empty pizza box afterwards, the element thing sticks out a little bit, i managed to fit the box in and thought why didn't it fit before but realised it would have been pressed up right on the element so not a good idea, i just put the pizzas onto a couple of oven trays instead.
Still haven't done a proper roast in the new oven yet, should be fine for most but i wonder if i could put a size 50 turkey in it with veges, may be a stretch not that i am planning to do a size 50 turkey any time soon.

Yep that’s the thing about finding the balance between the size and how often you would use a bigger oven We need to update the kitchen in a few years. At present I have a double oven and the stovetop next to it. I’m thinking I’ll go a single oven next with stovetop above to get more bench space for maybe an air fryer or something. I’ve loved the flexibility of my double oven especially when the kids were young or having the whole extended family over for the big Christmas lunch. But as we get older I think I could get away with downsizing the oven to a single to gain more bench space.

Would love to have a kitchen big enough to have a double oven, not that our kitchen is small and wr really don't need a double oven seeing there is only two of us. The oven cavity is definitely slightly different to our previous stove but it will still be big enough for us, i noticed the griller is a lot bigger than our previous stove and also its funny adjusting to the temps of the hot plates which heat differently to our previous stove.

Oh we actually have a very small kitchen, the reason I’d like more bench space. The oven is technically not double in actual oven size but one of those ones with a smaller half size oven on top of the main. That’s why the stovetop is to the side.

          Dinner tonight was tacos.

          • I couldn't believe my yiayia (nana) and papou (pop) would eat dinner at 6pm. That's me now and I'm only in my 50's.

            Seafood Laksa tonight.

I find we’re eating slightly later now about 6:30. Used to always eat around 6 when the kids were little.

We're up at 5am to walk the dogs then an early surf if it's good. My missus generally falls asleep around 8pm while reading her book. I only need 5 to 6 hours sleep and the odd nana nap. I would generally eat around 8 pm when I lived and worked in Sydney. I don't miss the old routine!

I sometimes fall asleep while watching the telly. They claim you need less sleep as you get older. Maybe it’s all those nana naps.
