The Whiting aren't on the bite yet and I'm dying for a feed.
Have you been fishing lately?
Not lately, just on the road at the moment visiting in laws at Dungog then other in laws at Taree, after that having a week at Stuarts Point/ Grassy Head so will throw the line in there, its usually a good flathead and whiting spot but hoping just for a couple of bream for the BBQ. When im back in Sydney i am definately going down to my favourite wharf for hopefully a few nice feeds of leathetjackets.
Just had some takeaway from the local Chinese Takeaway shop with mixed results. Fried rice, garlic prawns and beef good. Thumbs down to the S&S pork and chicken.

Chapman Chinese is our favourite, worth the short drive for us, tried many others, but when we tried this one, we haven’t bothered looking for another. Everything tastes clean, fresh tasty.
bakery at Chapman shop is good too, treat yourself and try the Paris Brest, only sold on Saturday mornings, it’s like a Chou pastry donut filled with cream and custard, with caramel on the top of the Chou.
Will keep that in mind milanja. That Paris Brest sounds devine. We’re actually down the south coast at the moment, the whole family on a little getaway before Christmas. At Merimbula.

The chinese at the Dungog RSL the other night was fantastic and i had to do a double take of the prices, they were 1980 s prices. The true definition of cheap and cheerful.
Tonight we are dining at a place called Hot Myrtle at Grassy Head, a great restaurant in the middle of nowhere, the food has been fantastic every time we have been before, looking forward to it tonight.
Hot Myrtle was so good last night we went again tonight. Last night had awesome octopus in a siracha and spinach sauce and lamb dolmades. Tonight garlic prawns with orzo and tomato and goats cheese, absolutely stunning food in the middle of nowhere .
Had lamb steak and chicken sausages , mushrooms, potato and onion done on the BBQ with a simple salad of iceberg lettuce. Had some nice tiger prawns on the lettuce as a starter.
Going to the buffalo farm for lunch today as they do very nice pizza so not sure what we will have for dinner tonight, still have some lamb steaks and sausages left or may just have ham and salad rolls . Annoying that the butcher in Macksville was closed yesterday as they do lovely italian rissoles and their sausages are decent so had to rely on Woolworths meat yesterday for the BBQ, that said it was still decent but feel guilty about using Coles or Woolworths when out in the country. Did get the prawns from Daves in Nambucca though
Tomorrow hopefully going to Jersyville for sone prawns, fish and bugs.
Sadly returning home tomorrow and I have to organise a couple of family Christmas get togethers. Tonight it’s leftovers from last nights Italian takeaway.
