Ah the old days of corned beef with peppercorn white sauce and assorted veggies - left over corn beef for sandwiches the next day for lunch but with English mustard.

Our mother would also cook up sausages and fish fingers for sandwiches as well on weekends - Sausages and fried onions with Tomato sauce and Fish Fingers with Tartar sauce - we used to have fresh bread home delivered 6 days a week and milk , cheese . flavoured milk and yoghurt as well

Condensed Milk Sandwiches as well - very rich and sugary but a nice treat after the above sandwiches.

I love it cold on sandwiches with some corn relish. Yum yum. I’ve never heard of condensed milk sandwiches but I remember Dad occasionally eating the leftovers straight out of the can!

Left over corned beef sandwiches with a good pickles or corn relish is heaven.
One of my aunties used to make me and my sister condensed milk mixed with aktavite, when we were kids, think she put a little bit of hot water with it too, used to love it.

We would also have fried sandwiches of German Type Brawn with pickles, cheese , onions and bacon as our Father got the taste for it during the North African Campaign in WW2- the captured Germans would have tins of it which was in similar tins to the Spam type of tins you see today still.
