  • Sardines on toast.
Melted cheese over sliced tomatoes, on toast.
Peanut butter on toast [Australian brand, smooth].
Birdseye potato gems cooked in an air fryer, served in a bowl.
Coles brand Mini Spring Rolls, and Coles brand Mini Dim Sims …$2.50 each packet [containing 12 and 15 respectfully]..all made in Australia....cooked in an air fryer, served in a bowl
WW or Birdseye hash browns, cooked in an air fryer, served on a plate or in a bowl.
Tinned soup, with or without toast slices.
Birdseye crumbed fish in packets, cook in an airfryer.
That's my contribution to Team bb dining experience.

The contribution from the other half of team bb is:

. Home made pies with lean beef mince and frozen vegs or fresh vegs.
. Some of the best stir fry I've ever tasted.
    . Home made meatloaf.
    . Mixed grills.
    etc.

We usually have "dinner" at lunchtime, and "lunch" at dinner time.
    I can't be cleaning/washing up at night...too tired.

I left out eggs on .....
Bought a very stylish new 4 slice one.

When we were first married we lived in a small granny flat in the backyard of my family home and cooked on a camp stove type arrangement in the very small galley kitchen.
Both working, our dinner was more often than not..."chops, chips, and peas.".
        Protein, carbs, and greens.

        • I have to spend a few nights near royal north shore hospital, so chose the Meriton at Chatswood, never been at Chatswood before, but wow are there some tasty looking Asian fooderies around here! Every corner there is another eatery that looks fantastic.

walked past pattisons patisserie, has anybody tried their stuff? The small lemon meringue pies and cheesecakes are about $8 each, so I assume they must be good?? Will try one tmrw.

Yes Pattisons are very good Miljana. I have coeliac disease so can only have gluten free and everything they make is excellent (they have a store in Bondi Junction but have not been there in ages) My old boss loves lemon meringue and she recommended them to us before as she lives closer to Chatswood. Hope everything is ok for you if you have the need to stay near the hospital.

Funny I said the same to Horrie Hastings the other day as I get too tired too BB. It's better to have your main meal at lunch time and then a light dinner. I hadn't cooked a steak at home since grand final day 2018 but I did get some very thin ones the other day and had some with mash and veggies for Saturday lunch.

Yes it was funny after having such a big lunch all i felt like was soup for dinner, i opened a can of Campbells tomato soup and had it with toast, cant remember the last time i had canned tomato soup by itself and i really enjoyed it.

thanks RWB, we needed to come up here from Canberra because surgeons up here can do what they can’t in the A.C.T. All went well, the bonus is I get to spend a few days exploring north of the bridge

will check in with the pastry results later.

Hope all is well. I really enjoyed my time working at North Sydney and if you get a chance, go down to Blues Point Road at McMahons Point, a street I used to live on. There are lots of great eateries down there for take away or you may even be able to now eat in as from today. Sorry we did not put on any nice walking weather for you.

Was planning to go to Delicado just before covid closures kicked in, hope i get the chance as it looks very interesting food and wine wise. The one place i am missing is Blues Point pizza, used to eat there after going to the raffles at the Kirribilli Club, it was nice sitting on the street watching the world go by and their pizzas were pretty decent too, also a good bottle shop a couple of doors away. It is a nice little village there on Blues Point Rd.

                          • Saturday brunch at home in the sun watching a David Bowie documentary. Open faced sandwich with baby spinach, mushrooms, cheese, tomato and steak with a big black coffee in a vintage Easts mug.

                            • Well I tried the raspberry cheesecake and lemon meringue pie from Pattinsons, not the best, the cheesecake was in a pastry cup, and the crust sort of emulsified into the filling making it very dense. The lemon meringue was also so so.

on the way home tmrw I will go through woollahra to vics meats which I found out around Christmas time, now also do cakes and desserts, my favourite shop in Sydney
