  • I'm doing my cooking for the week ahead before going for a one hour walk in the sun. I'm simmering some gluten free spaghetti which looks like glue with a can of tomatoes, chickpeas, chilli flakes, baby spinach and kale.

An Egyptian guy at work buys camel meat, like everything, if I didn’t know it was camel, I would probably enjoy it.

        • I still haven't recovered from Coles accidentally delivering someone else's very large trays of kangaroo mince cat food last week. I had to run out in the rain in my slippers to catch the delivery man (who is one of the regulars and very nice) and said come and take Skippy away...please!

I laughed when you told me that the other day. Nothing wrong with the old Skippy but its not my favourite. Had a coat of arms pizza one day, half emu, half kangaroo, do like emu and have had it as prosciutto also.
Things like camel, alpaca, kangaroo and emu are nice but not something you would have every day. The one meat that i do like is goat, have had in a few different forms, going to get a leg of goat to roast one day.

I actually got some zucchini delivered yesterday on special so they are going in my pasta for the week. The sauce I got has bacon in it..that is the extent of my meat eating these days..

The fruit shop in the centre i work at sells already spiralised zucchini , think i might try it one day instead of pasta.

You'll need to cook it and eat it pretty much the day you buy it because it doesn't last but it's delicious. I've been making my gluten free pasta every Sunday in winter for work lunches. This week I did it with chilli, the sauce with bacon and tomato and the zucchini...and cheese, cheese and more cheese..

Would be good with prawns, garlic and lemon juice, simple flavours.

Enjoy..I think I did mine with a tomato and mushroom sauce and chilli flakes the last time. I'm getting carbonara sauce this week (actually in 6 hours according to the Coles tracking..LOL) to go with the gluten free fettuccine I have and I still have zucchini from last week. Might throw in a can of chick peas too.
