Italian rissoles, sausage, sliced potato, tomato , fried onion done with beer and corn all done on the BBQ with a lettuce and carrot salad, yummy especially with the setting over looking the river. While BBQing had lime and pepper cheese, garlic and fennel salami and artichoke and seaweed crackers for nibbles.

The garlic and fennel salami is from Coles and the better half has fallen in love with it and I have to admit it is yummy, the black pepper and lime cheese is Kenilworth brand also from Coles.
you mentioned you had Steak Diane, such a retro dish like the stroganoff I posted before that, they are such classic and comforting dishes that never go out of fashion.

He likes the Diane because he loves steak! Fortunately my kids don’t take after their father and like to try new things. It’s amazing what you can do on a bbq these days but sadly we tend to stick to staples like steak and sausages lol!
When my wife and I were first dating I was broke so I took her to a club where they did a steak diane & a movie ticket for $15 (no joke!) This was the business. Beers were club prices too so it was sweet eeeez.

Yes I know what you mean, our BBQs used to be meat , meat , meat with fried onion maybe a bit of tomato or mushroom and a salad but now we do it basically 75 % veges and 25 % meat ( of course being away last nights was more meat ). In the old days we used to 2 bits of steaks and sausages, i used to look at the steaks and often one steak would be big enough to feed two people anyway so now we might do one piece of steak depending on the size or a lamb steak , maybe a sausage or two but we also do sliced potato, mushrooms, zuchinni, tomato , corn sometime spring onions, i am finding I prefer more veges bbq than meat these days.
