Pulled the vegemite version out of the freezer and have just added a can of tomatoes to it and so far tasting nice heating up away in the pan..

        • Had an okay parma at a work function the other night. Looked bog standard but they had some smoky bacon on it that was awesome!

Hope you enjoyed it Horrie. We’re still in NZ and it’s probably time to cook in tonight but I have no idea what to whip up yet. Something nice and easy preferably.

That's the thing when you are travelling, it is so good to eat out a lot and try new and different places but then you get to a point that you just crave a good home cooked meal.

                  • Seafood pasta with prawns, mussels and leather jacket , using fresh linguine from the Pasta factory at Marrickville. Also bought some nice tiger prawns for a prawn cocktail before hand and a couple of leather jackets for the freezer for dinner for another night.

                    • Back home and back to some home cooking. Just some rissoles, mash and green veg tonight as I’m too tired and stressed from dealing with Qantas luggage dramas.

                          • Still finishing off Christmas salads etc with cold chicken, turkey and ham. I prepare enough salads to make sure I don’t have to cook on Boxing Day. It turns out there’s still enough leftovers for tonight as well!

We went to friends place for Christmas Day lunch so no left overs, planned to cook the turkey breast roll and lots of veges on Boxing day but were very hung over so i just made spag bol and we cooked the turkey tonight. so have enough left overs for dinner tomorrow night or Thursday night. Still have a whole turkey in the freezer for either when it gets cooler or Christmas in July.
