Their entire catalogue is dripping with grit, guts and brilliance. I probably saw them live about 50 times and never went home disappointed.

Whilst I appreciate your compliment, I value and respect the musical tastes of everyone on this forum and through this thread, I've discovered some hidden gems and revisited some old favourites bringing back some wonderful memories. If we all liked the same songs, the world would be very boring and bland. Mighty Rooster is correct in her opinion of OK Computer for example by Radiohead. It was a phenomenal and very influential album which has stood the test of time. Someone had done a copy for me to listen to also when it was released. I just find it very sad as it brings back some not so nice memories for me and I know she understands and respects my opinion on that and I'm glad that she loves that particular band and can still get enjoyment from listening to them. I don't believe in rubbishing anyone else's tastes in music because I will listen to anything from Nana Mouskouri to Def Leppard (which I'm listening to right now) and everything in between as I'm open minded and always learning something new. Happy Friday everyone:

So true RWB. Music is subjective and we all have different likes and dislikes. I have particular styles and genres which I prefer more than others such as melodic pop-rock, early 80’s new wave, classic rock, 90’s alt-rock and Britpop. But having said that I’ll listen to anything from John Denver to Black Sabbath. I can just as easily listen to a 3 minute Beatles pop song as a 23 minute Pink Floyd prog-rock epic. It all depends on the mood I’m in. At the moment I’m listening to a lot of music from the past decade and surprisingly I’ve actually found some good stuff. My two adult teens have been introducing me to some great music and artists trying to educate me about that gap in my music knowledge. I do draw the line at rap - I can’t stand that crap and have a lot of fun debating its merits with my 18 year old daughter. It’s all in good spirit though. Fortunately my 19 year old son agrees with me and hates rap crap, as I call it!

Its funny , i thought about this today after reading his comment when Boys In Town played and i thought how fabulous a song it was but serving a customer either earlier or later after Boys In Town and they were humming away to a Hollies song and then humming away to Upside Down by Diana Ross and then another customer went oooh ahhhh when ABBA's Happy New Year played, i just love when customers have different reactions to the songs played. After i had closed and was balancing up things the last song that came up was one i just added to the IPOD, Hush by Russell Morris and Melinda Schneider from Rock Wiz and i turned it up really loud, i thought this is fabulous.
