If Abbott can do just one thing its to oppose Rudd's ETS. Just for long enough for the doubt to blossom in the electorate's mind. Its already started...it wont take much. People are fed up. I cant believe you arent.

To be honest Melon I don't know enough about it. I understand it's a tax system based around carbon trading but just haven't spent the time just yet having a good read.

I don't believe climate change is a myth and that whilst I don't think the world is going to heat up like a boiled egg overnight and the research is in it's early stages the reduction over time of burning fossil fuels should be reduced significantly.

I would like to see the vote deferred not to appease the conspiracy theorists I just think like the GST people need to understand it better.

On the subject of Abbot he will never make a good leader of either the Libs or the Country, he is half arsed politician that makes up for his inadequacies by attacking people personally. He is a nasty piece of work and religious nutter to boot. i like your thinking chook, but rudd is too shrewd to be baited into an early election via a double dissolution? hell allow the mad monk some time to fully disgrace himself with glaring lack of policy thought, he can always quiz the mad monk on his thoughts on abortion, stem cell research, christian values, workchoices etc, the monk is the weak point in the tories party and now minchen has made him leader! a double dissolution as enticing as it is would see labor further dominate the lower house, win control of the senate, however the greens would have significant influence in the senate, if the libs thinkl labor is bad, hang onto your tweeds, the 2gb set will be in full screech mode and in more need of counselling than nz after a rugby world cup!
