I went to the Blues and Roots festival over Easter for 3 days. Saw heaps of bands. Buddy Guy blew me away though. What a pro and what a legend. Jeff Beck came on after him and he was shit.

Last night's Hitmen show with Niagara @ the Gaelic Club was one of the most awesome gigs I have seen. Guest appearance by Brad Shepherd, an ex-Hitman, was rocking. Incredible.

Just got my hands on Slash's new self titled album. Teh cover of Paradise city with Cypress Hill and the lead vocal by Fergie of all ****ing people blows anything Axl Rose ever did.

Did you see them in 1987 when they toured on the Electric album?

Me and Mrs Fairfax are raring to see them at Luna Park on Thursday!

Bump. Saw Kasabian at the Hordern on Saturday, they were AMAZING. He may come across as arrogant, but the lead singer has great on stage presence and really gets the crowd pumping. If anyone gets the chance to see them live, DO IT.

Did you see them in 80s when they came out? I think they were better this time. Loved 'em!

The strokes. OH MY GOD. I missed them in 06. To say the wait was worth it is an understatement. Shame they only played for about an hour though.

Don't be afraid to step out in the rain. Take a chance. Sometimes the only way to get your rainbow is by getting wet.

I feel asleep on both U2 and Talking Heads.

LOL easy to see that this thread is dominated by the old phogey brigade..to pay <$50 to watch a band is depressing beyond words (especially if its just an exercise in nostalgia).
I'm at live venues several nights a week but the musicians on stage are part of the furniture
