    Great lyrics:

    I'm a creep
    I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
    I don't belong here....

Such a liberating song with great uplifting lyrics and I always think of it when I want a fresh start with something or someone new. Time indeed for us all to take the COVID shackles of 2020 off our feet so we can dance:

one of the saddest songs ever:

          When you're weary
          Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
          I'll dry them all
          I'm on your side
          Oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
          I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
          I will lay me down
          When you're down and out
          When you're on the street
          When evening falls so hard
          I will comfort you
          I'll take your part
          Oh, when darkness comes
          And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
          I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
          I will lay me down
          Sail on silver girl
          Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
          See how they shine
Oh, if you need a friend
          I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
          I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
          I will ease your mind

I was singing this to myself the other day and then it came up my shuffle...

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddnRtFd7Hps

            Lyrics
Day turned black, sky ripped apart
Rained for a year 'til it dampened my heart
            Cracks and leaks
            The floorboards caught rot
            About to go down
            I had almost forgot
All I got to do is to love you
All I got to be is, be happy
All it's got to take is some warmth to make it
Blow Away, Blow Away, Blow Away
Sky cleared up, day turned to bright
Closing both eyes now the head filled with light
Hard to remember what a state I was in
            Instant amnesia
            Yang to the Yin
All I got to do is to love you
All I got to be is, be happy
All it's got to take is some warmth to make it
Blow Away, Blow Away, Blow Away
Wind blew in, cloud was dispersed
Rainbows appearing, the pressures were burst
            Breezes a-singing, now feeling good
            The moment had passed
Like I knew that it should
All I got to do is to love you
All I got to be is, be happy
All it's got to take is some warmth to make it
Blow Away, Blow Away, Blow Away

Absolute classic. I love the 'sail on silver girl' part. Yes it's sad but the overall theme is being there for someone in their darkest time of need, so while sad it is also uplifting.

It's a very ethereal song and I agree with everything you've said MR. I like the Westlife one I posted too, You Raise Me Up. I listened to that a lot when Mum died and also Robbie's Angels of course..

Greatest George song (from his dance numbers at least) Love the lyrics "I don't belong to you. You don't belong to me". Nothing better than singing Freedom very loudly..

This one's a cracker..I saw M People at the Hordern:

You've done me wrong, your time is up
You took a sip from the devil's cup
You broke my heart, there's no way back
Move right out of here, baby, go on pack your bags
Just who do you think you are?
Stop actin' like some kind of star
Just who do you think you are?
Take it like a man, baby, if that's what you are
'Cause I'm movin' on up, you're movin' on out
Movin' on up, nothin' can stop me
Movin' on up, you're movin' on out
Time to break free, nothin' can stop me, yeah
They brag a man has walked in space
But you can't even find my place
There ain't nothin' you can do
'Cause I've had enough of me, baby, bein' part of you
Just who do you think you are?
This time you've gone too far
Just who do you think you are?
Take it like a man, baby, if that's what you are
'Cause I'm movin' on up, you're movin' on out
Movin' on up, nothin' can stop me
Movin' on up, you're movin' on out
Time to break free, nothin' can stop me
Movin' on up, movin' on up, movin' on up
Movin' on up, movin' on up, movin' on up
Movin' on up, movin' on up, movin' on up
Movin' on up, movin' on up, movin' on up
Movin' on up, you're movin' on out
Movin' on up, nothin' can stop me
Movin' on up, you're movin' on out
Time to break free, nothing can stop me
Movin', movin', movin', nothin' can stop me
Movin', movin', time to break free, nothin' can stop me

It was played at Simon's funeral too even though I couldn't attend due to Covid. We'd already said our goodbyes when he went home to Queensland. One day I'll meet another man as kind and even tempered as him and then we'll throw a Chookpen wedding. That I am sure of MR.

This was always one we loved and I still play it for Simon when I light candles
