        Sorry PD
tried to answer your msg, but it said failed .
Just saying that keeping busy is cool. Gives the mind less time to ruminate, and gives you a sense of accomplishment.
Atm I got too much time, but there ain't no simple solution.
Life is a series of appointments, but at least I'm free.

Sorry. but eddie can't do crowds no more.
Doubt i cud keep swimming for a couple of years anyway.
Dealing wid bad news, along wid other basics like multi-tasking, pretending to be happy and the whole guilt cycle trip is way too much.
At least I know why they put me on the friggen disability pension now..................even jokes like "at least I don't support the berries" don't help.

MR, you were right in thinking that we must have done something in another life. I really don't know what has happened over the past few years and how the time has gone so quickly, but there are days like today when I can't get out of the quicksand and I can't see the light at the end of that infernal tunnel. Its only one month into a new year and sometimes I feel like my life will never go back to 'normal' whatever that is.

I was in Abyss middle of this week and I am also worrying about a few others including my former better half who made a bizarre and baffling choice in her life direction mid week. I have got myself out of it for now.

I wanna make sure others r ok....but you sometimes have to be ok yourself before you help others.....sorry I'm rambling...lol sorry

Don't be sorry PD and I certainly didn't think you were rambling. Eddie often apologises too and no-one should ever feel they have to say sorry for anything they say in this thread. Abyss certainly is a good way of putting it. I'm one of those people who picks up on when someone I'm close to is in distress so it's only natural we worry about those we care about, even if you say they are no longer a complete part of your life like your ex partner. It says a lot about you as a human being that you are still concerned for her welfare. I think what tipped me over the edge yesterday was reading a story on the New York Times website. I go on there at least once a week as there are no stories about Tony Abbott, any Kardashians or Gory Gory to Souff Sydney The story was about a teenager who set fire to another on a bus ride home from school, because they were transgender, and the ensuing fallout and sentencing. What amazed me was the incredible attitude of the parents of the victim, who had deep sympathy for the mother of the convicted boy who did this to their only child. If there ever was a story of forgiveness and how to conduct yourself with dignity in the face of a heinous tragedy, this family certainly has it.

                              Thankyou RWB!

The New York Times. Sounds like something I should read when I have time away from my studies.

Amazing family, the victim's and their ability to forgive. If everyone was like them then we have no wars, far less poverty and misery in this world. I remember reading a quote I think it was from Mandela (I could be wrong though) "Hatred has not even solved one problem."

RWB, I've only just read your post. I hope you are feeling in better spirits today. I know what you mean about feeling like you're in quicksand at times. Sometimes you get over a hurdle and you start feeling relief and pride in yourself for getting through it and then, before you have a chance to get some respite, along comes another obstacle for you to get through. It would be nice if the periods of respite would last longer! Hope you are feeling better today?
