  • Whats your 15 minutes of fame?

    Hello all..

Here is one of my moments. I was an ace on the quads, moto x, road bikes and lastly monkey bikes. Casey Stoner, Doohan, Waine Rayney and Valentine Rossi had nothing on me.

Here I am showing Turk how to pop a mono on a Monkey Bike..

Please share your 15 minutes of fame stories here...

    bye bye......

My 15 minutes involved being on the ABC TV show "The Einstein Factor" as a contestant back in 2005.

It was a fun experience and I got to fly down to Melbourne. Besides the trip, I received a free coffee mug, photo with the host Peter Berner (think that's how you spell it) and a decent bunch of sandwiches before the show. Unfortunately the make-up couldn't do much to improve my very average appearance.

The main lesson I learnt is that it is much easier answering quiz show questions at home. I went ok on the show, and actually lost by one question.

I received quite a few emails from colleagues at work the next day, but other than this experience my life has been normal and anonymous.

I have few, As a young roosterturkey I was in ad for the Olympics telethon. took all day to get right and was only a 19sec advert...
My fav was on stage with INXS not long after the Bali bombings, security was tight and after a bit of liquid encouragement I decided to climb the chain mail fence jump side step the TV camera and climb up on stage and cut loose with my air guitar.. Long story short turk was famous for a bit longer than 15 mins.. There's more but that'll do for now..

I was inspired by RP, John Corey, Melon and Parkway to play the guitar. I bought a Strat and naturally it was a Red and White one. Here is my first gig, naturally after this performance I got many more requests...to ensure I never play the guitar again. I go ok on the air guitar but I am not as good as Turk
