Being catholic can be a good for counting votes.
I don't think supporting the chooks will earn him the same favours.
Good luck to him, they are all the same. Get rid of the super benefits and you might find some punters with real passion not golden handshake entitlements.barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

He said it is everyone's right to own a gun to defend themselves from corrupt Govts.
His thinking helped open my mind to Gun control point of view.
PS I don't want this message to sidetrack into gun control. I'm just passing a very interesting insight. Worth tracking down on Youtube if you can find the time.
They've never identified tank man, so whoever you saw interviewed was probably just some fraud.
The odds that he wasn't the first among the thousands killed during those protest are quite slim considering he was taken away by the army.

Sorry - I jest, I jest. Some of my best friends, etc.
There are good and bad pollis in both parties, and to be honest, there are slim pickings in terms of choice either locally, State or Federally.
Problem is - a vast majority of them, espec from the Labor party, have been either in the union or public service for all their working life and wouldn't have a clue what it is like to either own or work for a private enterprise, where whether you survive depends on performance and results. And those in private enterprise are reluctant to take up politics as a talented individual can earn a shyte lot more in the private sector than he will as a pollie, despite the cushy super. Jeez, even the top NRL stars earn more than the PM!!

actually that's not quite correct, my daughter is a politician , ran in last state election, her work at the time was as a vet nurse caring for sick and injured animals, probably explains why we have four dogs at home! she's never worked for a union, currently works for a ste alp mp but hes retiring next election so shell have to find another job? as a vet nurse it shows she has a heart! she wont run again in the shire as the liberals have a very nasty member whose got a massive dirt file on everyone, hes an ex cop, obviously as a teenager we all accumulate a bit of a history, she didn't want hers plastered all over the telegraph so she wont run in the shire! a pity she would have been a very honest caring politician! certainly can do the work as she looks after the co0nstituents now!personally id love to see her run against Scott Morrison next federal election after he shos how cruel he will be to pensioners aas well as refugees!butwed need some big bucks from the alp to help her as hes got a never ending supply of liberal party cash to call on! did i mention shes often cheering on the roosters in the chookpen, marty kennedy thought she was the ants pants! enough from me, im biased!

Mate I don't like your politics but bugger that, if your daughter is such an animal lover (and an Easts girl as Salvo says!) you must be bloody proud and should be.

I just go Eeny, meeny, miny, moe catch a dark chocolate guy by his big you know or if I take the dog I vote for the party that my dog waves his tail the most at when collecting party preferences whilst entering.
I reckon Kevin should make a comeback as the ALP leader he would be better than Abbott.

I know I've got a couple of hard years electioneering coming up, as a retired guy I can contribute a bit where others in full time work cannot, I don't like getting up early to hand out at train stations, last night I letterboxed all shops in Gymea village at about 9 pm, the joys of not having a partner? I actually agree with rwb as in both major parties basically want the same thing, however i feel that one major party is to well glued to the past and Australia must move on into the future, we don't even have a minister for science? that's got to say something?
I think we've had enough political ravings I cant wait for the footy season!
