Does anyone here participate in any fantasy NRL competitions? Ie the Daily Telegraph or the NRL dreamteam?

It's quite a lot of fun which adds an extra dimension to your viewing of the footy.
If we have enough participants, we can see who is the real arm chair coach in here and make a Chookpen league.

Personally, I participate in the DT comp as I find it more involving and generally more fun, with weekly correspondence in the paper.

I prefer Nearly NRL or NRLCEO. I have a regular group of about 10 mates and we will start up a private comp. We don't do the private league in the Fantasy NRL because we don't like that you can all have virtually the same players in your teams.

We will be starting a Chookpen Fantasy league on Fox sports when it is open.

      Stay tuned for details

I also play in the DT comp for the same reasons you mentioned. My team is already set up for this year and will just need some fine tuning closer to 13 March.

How many Roosters players can you find a spot for?

Included in my 20 man Telegraph side were Myles, Carney, Graham and Williamson

Lmao, same thing. Only I got Ryles in as well, he is bargain price for a starting front rower who gets through a lot of work.

You might be able to help me Mike. If you have your starting 13, and then your 7 on the bench, when do those 7 actually score points for you? Are they on the bench to be used as replacements from week to week, and as such only score points when they're in the starting side, or do they acrue points even when they're on the bench?

                        You'll have 1 x Fullback, 4 x Wings/Centres, 1 x Five Eighth, 1 x Halfback, 3 x Front Row/Hookers and 3 x Second Row Forwards, with 12 remaining Substitutes. You'll select 4 players from these remaining 12 in any combination as your scoring reserves, for a total of 17 scoring players.

                            9. Smith

                            11. Hindmarsh
                            12. Gallen
                            13. Mateo

                            14. Carney
                            15. Tahu
                            16. Burgess
                            17. J. Cayless

Others: Duffie, Williamson, Johnson, Hodkinson, Lussick, Cordner, Fifita, Mitchell (the cheapest players who I think will have a chance of FG this seaosn)

Will be relying heavily on my starting 13. Hopefully no injuries!

Remember guys, the most important things to consider are:

                              - your forwards are your money makers
                              - spread your team wisely, make sure each player has a good chance at playing, the make or break period is the representative period. This is where the best players get separated from the pack. Having your scoring 17 week in, week out is crucial.
