Thanx heaps people. Lozz I use Mininova & utorrent for movies, full albums & tv.. But I needed something for those single songs... I reckon that you've solved my hassle.. Ta muchly...

I'm on Bigpond & haven't had a problem connecting to Limewire. The problem is that 90% of downloads are virused...

OK buttheads im entering a technical thread, so be farking nice.

We have no probs downloading movies.

What we cant get nailed is the burning to disk process. We use free easy burner but it farks up all the time. No joy in watching 1/2 a movie on the plasma and the rest on the lappy.

So whats the go??? Anyone able to suggest a good burning program???

Ther will be a drink of choice next trip to Sydney for the winning bidder.

Mate the best program i've found is either Divx or Convertx to DVD 3...

With Divx you can put 3 or 4 movies on the one disc or I prefer the Convertx. It makes a proper DVD that will play in anydvd player, even the xbox 360 plays it..

If you go to Mininova.org & look it up or try these instructions..

just go to the main site
        http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/
download the "update" which is the full installer.
Then use one of the serials in the text file or use:
        JAEFP-Y58C6-YQTQ7-Q7CWV-2YWZM-4
don't have to worry about viruses from official downloads... duh!

If you need any more help just let me know...

Bloody oath i'm going to Coffs Harboyr for the week... The 2 teenagers are staying home. So it's just me, the missus & the 3 little ones... BLISS!!!

I normally get the kids movies, coz I tend to get them for me & then never find time to watch them.. So the more kids movies i've got the more they'll leave me alone... Well that's the theory anyways..

if you don't mind dipping into your pocket for $9 a month ( us )

i would definitely join a newsgroup. I been using easynews.com for about 5 years. It has a web based feature.

download a free download accelerator and your sucking files down at 2mbps (depending on your link ). IE a 700meg movie takes me about 4 to 5 minutes to download

BTW all good so far, the wife hasnt complained, as yet anyway. Thanks mate.

Aides and RoosterNight I will pass on your suggestions, she may dig, I have a bad case of NFI when it comes to these matters.

You can use torrent for single songs. You get to choose the songs you want to download prior to the download itself.

The majority of stuff i down load is old singles from the 60's and 70'swhich most have not seen the light of day on cd and probably never will.
