KINGS Cross identity John Ibrahim was a special guest at the Roosters season launch on Monday night.
Joining Ibrahim was actress and Braith Anasta's new squeeze Jodi Gordon, celebrity builder Scott Cam and presenter Fifi Box. It is understood Ibrahim tagged along as a guest of lawyer Stephen Alexander, who has been involved with representing former Roosters rake Jake Friend over a nightclub brawl last June.
"John came as a guest of one of our sponsors and enjoyed the night," Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce said.
"I think the Roosters have a vibrant brand in the marketplace and cover enormous territory and all guests are valued."
Maybe the Roosters could feature in Underbelly 16: The Golden Point.
STILL on the Roosters, Ben Jones is not only happy to fill in at No. 6 this Sunday in the unlikely scenario Braith Anasta's ankle does not fully recover, he is also happy to represent the redheads at the Bondi club.
Jones and Tom Symonds are the only bloodnuts at the Roosters after Shane Shackleton packed his bags and headed to Parramatta.
Funnily enough, Jones was saddened during a recent chat with Shackleton to hear that new Eels teammate and redhead Kris Keating had dyed the red out of his locks.
As for slotting in at six against the Rabbitohs, Jones said: "If I need to play at No. 6 I will. I've played all the pre-season games, played there last year and built a bit of a combination with Pearcey [Mitchell Pearce]. But Braith has trained all week and will be right. I'll come off the bench and play wherever Smithy [coach Brian Smith] puts me."
