I love Carlton Draught followed by Blonde and I don't mind Tooheys New either.

I don't mind Tooheys Extra Dry Premium-a very nice crisp refreshing taste.

    Boags Draught is cats piss.

It's funny,i never really liked Boags draught till i went to Tasmania and had it on tap,it just tasted so much crisper and cleaner than what i had in a bottle in Sydney,so i was drinking plenty over the last few weeks.

It's a matter of taste really.....

VB is a good beer. There is a reason why it is so popular. As for all the boutique beers that cost $50 a case. You must be dreaming and you have to much money to spend.

I brew my own at a micro brewery in Gosford. Whack it in a nice carton, put a $50 price tag on it and because it tastes different to the run of the mill beers, people would pay it.

At a drinking hole I go for Carlton Draught first.

I do the beer ordering where i work and while VB is still popular i have notice it decreasing over the last 18 months where as Pure Blonde i would only order about 26 cartons a week now am ordering over a pallet a week.
Also the taste of VB changed when they dropped the alcohol content .1% not so long ago.
Also you mention about boutique beers being around $50 a case,VB when it is not on special is well over $40 nowdays.
Carlton Draught is also my beer of choice at my local watering hole.

I brew my own, its always good and fresh, as a few posters here will confirm.

Im like Muzz, Coopers is the best Aussie made Beer hands down.

VB drinkers amuse me, you cant pry the bludgers from their hands. They may try something different but at 1st opportunity they have to get back on the VB.

I wouldnt feed XXXX to my enemies. kHuntslanders deserve the shit.

Reschs Draught or Cascade premium lager.

Reschs Pilsener at home, though it's overpriced to buggery.
