As for the hospital.....
I did not witness it first hand,
so I am only commenting second hand,
and therefore the name is not relevant,
but I do believe those who told me...
No you can blame yourselves for voting for any of the ****s in the first place....I am one of the several thousand who had the balls to be realistic.....no just conform because there was no better alternative....
If you are that passionate, why don't you run for parliament, or the senate yourself???? Instead of wasting your vote 'cos it was to ****ing hard to make a decision.
i spent 12 long hours on saturday trying to convinve last minute voters to make the choice i was promoting, i then assisted auditing the counting process in the booth and was very dismayed at the 60 odd ballot papers put into the box without a mark of any kind, was this latham or people just unable to make a choice, i dont know, if someone did that please tell me why? i treated all voters coming in with repect although it wasnt returned from all, most were quite nice, the smart ones took all the how to vote papoers, the different ones just refused everything, but i respect their choice if that is what it was?

if u think last minute "how to vote papers" contribute to "choice", then the jokes on U.

Its easy to sit on our arses criticising politicians and do nothing about it. But at least Steven is contributing.
While not everyone might agree with his choice at least he doesn't want to vote for his favourite tax cheat or halfwit has been.
The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Good work Steven. I was workling too, as I do most elections. I love our robust democracy, but people who sneer at it shit me too. We can't complain if we don't engage in the process. And if you don't engage then it's pretty weak to attack people who make the effort.
A duopoly is not a true democracy. Having a choice of one more than one political party was never the intent of our constitution. In fact nowhere does our constitution mention "party" in a political context. What we have has been corrupted by the process of achieving government.
Whilst I loathed Pauline Hanson, I was encouraged by her attempt to form a third major political party. That is why I am encouraged by the rise of the greens as a third major political party.
The results of this election is the Australian electorate screaming for choice, true choice, not just a choice between two parties trying to out "conservative" the other. Again whilst I don't necessarily agree with the Greens on their stances, we need them as they represent true choice.
If I had my way I would break the coallition into the Liberals and Nationals again and make them campaign as separate entities.
if the abbot does get a guernsey then ill applaud him but will have to laugh watching him deal with the greens wanting same sex mnarriage and a stronger ets, it also looks like family first's fielding has lost his seat to the sex party! parliament will never be the same?
