  • AVI to DVD

I have a friend that occasionaly uses torrents. The movies that he downloads come in a .avi extension but he would like to burn them to a disk and watch them via his blue ray player to his TV.

How do people here do that? What program do you use to convert the avi to dvd format?

My friend thanks you in advance.

There is a HEAP of "free" software but unfortunately that free sometimes means that it will only convert 5 minutes worth or there is a watermark over the top....

The windows DVD maker should work ok.
I did one with Power producer and their was too much pixelation and stuttering. I probably had some incorrect settings.
www.dvdhelp.com or www.vcdhelp.com is a good place to look for ways to do it

I've always used Nero Vision Express (not free ... but if he downloads torrents then im sure he can find a version for "free" ) NVE usually comes bundled inside the full version of Nero. I taught myself how to use it through trial and error.

            I've also used this one too AVI2DVD ... http://www.trustfm.net/divx/SoftwareAvi2Dvd.php
