Love Greece although Athens is a hole, the islands are lovely although last time i was there Mykonos was starting to get a bit too touristy and tacky.
Haven't been to Italy but saw a travel show on Cinque Terre in Italy and want to go.Hopefully travelling to Europe in 2010 or 2011 which will include the Greek Islands and maybe Italy.
Been to Italy years ago & have always wanted to go back & always wanted to go to Greece. When in city for my schooling I grew up with Italians and so began my love affair of all things Italian.
There are some great part walking/small mini bus tours of the Cinque Terre & Almalfi coast areas.
Mum & I are looking at coach tour of Italy that combines 2 small tours and then head to Greece to board a small yacht sailing around the Greek Isles for 7 days.
Eating sliced banana & passionfruit for morning tea right now.......yum!
The one upside of the hideous weather you are getting at the moment is that the dams are going to get some long over due water.
anna (bligh) tells us the drought is officially over! sounds like a real feel good story to cover up her taking away our petrol subsidy... but fingers crossed. its done some terrible damage. my best friend lost her car-was in at a mechanics getting fixed and was washed into another by flood waters and both cars have been written off. you know what they say, when it rains, it pours

Its shitting down here Fitz. Trees and debris litter all roads, all schools are closed my kids schools a mess, we lost power from 8.30pm last night till 2.30am but the kids loved the candles and torches and the rivers are ready to burst and its only low tide. Many have been evacuated from Chinderah and Fingal already and powers still out in those areas.
They are saying it will get worse. Winds were upward of 120ks/hr last night and the rain was sheeting sideways. Its like the end of the world, but im still , its rather amusing IMO.
glad ur ok stasey it sure has been some intense and shocking weather. cant believe that guy died at the gc. very sad. hopefully things will clear up today, we have had a real mixed lot-pouring rain and then briliiant sunshine then pouring rain. only a few flooded roads around the dead-land shire, i imagine i will hear the worst of it tomorrow when i start taking insurance claims at work
Get to sleep in again tomorrow & hopefully wake up to the forecast rain...........Foundation Day (of W.A.) holiday. Been a fine weekend so far which was good as yesterday afternoon & this morning, the guy next door helped me cut back the bouganvillea that was growing out of control in my little front yard. Damn thorns though!
Don't be afraid to step out in the rain. Take a chance. Sometimes the only way to get your rainbow is by getting wet.
With the destruction of their natural habitat this is going to happen more and more till none are left, god there are times where i really hate what the human race stands for.
just wondering if i have swine flu or not.... my friend wont find out til this afternoon, and if she has, i have to go get tested.... maybe i will die in the meantime!!!!!!!!!!!
