I'm growing quite attached to the little dog i am looking after at the moment, a little jack russell,it's been nice taking her out for walks,i miss the companionship and love of a pet at the moment.Maybe just maybe after the renovations are finished at home i might think about getting a cat again,will probably try and get an overseas trip in again though before fully committing to another animal.

Horrie, oh most definitely get the overseas trip in before getting another cat. As much as I luv my 2 cats & would miss them terribly if anything should happen, it does take planning to go away. No on the spur of the moment weekend getaways on the back of a Harley that's for sure. Have to ring cattery, book them in & take them there (though my cattery will pick up for a fee) and then pick them up.......so much effort.

That is so true,they do tie you down to a certain extent.Yes i remember my trips to the cattery well any time we wanted to go away,even though it was only a short trip to the cattery she would wail while in the car.Still i never begrudged the extra things we had to do because she gave so much back,i still miss her

My cats are so giving too.........one follows me everywhere, sleeps on the ironing board as I sew and we play chasey. The other one drapes himself all over me when I watch TV at nights. They have such different personalities. Oh mine wail away too in the car for the 45 min drive to cattery.....first one, then the other. I feel your sadness missing your cat Horrie, I would be the same.
