Is this another thing those carnts stole from us, like our Junior territory???

Afterall Chooks lay eggs, hens or whatever theyre called, so I say it should be the Easter Chook.

    Thats whats on my mind.

You pumpkins have a fun Easter.

    GO EASTS.

Yeah...that's right...and why do they call a chocolate in the shape of a rabbit and Easter egg ?

    • The Easter Bunny is a rabbit-spirit. Long ago, he was called the "Easter Hare", hares and rabbits have frequent multiple births so they became a symbol of fertility. The custom of an Easter egg hunt began because children believed that hares laid eggs in the grass. The Romans believed that "All life comes from an egg." Christians consider eggs to be "the seed of life" and so they are symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

                        • I've been contemplating my University options over the past few weeks.

Initially after HSC I wanted to study BA Comm (Journalism) / B Laws as a combined degree, however I missed out on not only the combined degree, but the straight Journalism degree too.

I am now in my third year (out of three) of BA Comm (Information Management) at UTS, with intention to undertake a 1.5 year Master of Arts in Journalism next year. My issue is that I feel like I want to do law too, to at least broaden my possibilities.

If I transfer into the BA Comm (Information Management) / B Laws degree, the credit points I have already gained for completing Information Management should carry over, which would mean I would spend the next three years doing exclusively Law subjects before I graduate with the Information Management / Law combined degree. THEN I will, as planned, undertake the MA Journalism.

The other option, as many people were stating, was that I graduate from the BA Comm (Information Management) degree, and then choose between the Juris Doctor law postgraduate degree OR the MA Journalism. However, after careful research, I realized that the postgraduate Juris Doctor costs over $55,000, which is A LOT more than what I would be paying to do a combined B Laws degree as part of an undergraduate degree.

So my decision now, assuming that I am able to enroll into the course of my choosing:

2008-2010 - BA Comm (Information Management)
2011-2013 - BA Comm (Information Management) / B Laws - just the Law subjects
                          2014-2015 - MA Journalism

                          ...

Anyway, that is my little university rant out of the way. How was your day?

                          • well i ended up chickening out and not telling them till yesterday and there was a riot last night, couldnt have gone worse. in hindsight there was probably things i couldve done better but for the most part i took the high road and just told them i wanted to live on my own rather than try and be hurtful and tell them all the crap things they do that annoy me (and i imagine would annoy most people.) anyway our friendship is hanging by a thread and whilst he hasnt really said much (and since he hasnt paid rent for 6 weeks he isnt really entitled to an opinion!) she is soo pissed off and angry its not funny. the majority of things she's mad about are not my fault-its not my fault her partner is an unemployed bum and that they have no money and she is realising that either this is her future or she has to leave him, its not my fault they decided foolishly to get a dog even though they always knew they'd be renting, its not my fault that this came unexpectedly-its not like i was gonna treat them like shit for a few months just so they were more prepared........ and so on and so forth. such a crappy situation now, which she insists will now be awkward even tho it really never needed to be. have given them 3 months notice but apparently thats just not enough... i've had to just sit back and put my friendship with her aside and say not my problem which is hard but such is life. there ends my rant.
