I too, am troubled about this weekend.
I have been caught all season with my love for the chooks but my gut wrenching certainty that Brian Smith will never win a comp.
He has raised us from top to bottom but as yet he has not faced any adversity. And this is when we find out "the mark of a man."

He has done a great job but maybe it also highlights the ineptitude of the previous coaches.
One thing I know about Smith the coach.......he is all about footy. He lives, breathes and eats footy. So when you have been starved of knowledge of the game its wonderful. But when it is all consuming and you want a life .........it wears very thin with players.
We have not crossed that bridge yet.

I feel if we dont win this game, he wont win a comp at Easts.

This game is his destiny and ours also.
If he wins it, he deserves every praise we can laud on him.

My tip is this.

Saints always restrict oppostions to under 18 points.
We must do the same in order to win.

Expect the best.
Prepare for the worst.

Trew, since about a month ago I've had the irresistible urge to build. I've renovated my place already but can't help wanting to don the stack hat and tool belt, village peep style and build a nuclear power station up bob browns arse. Am I being too ambitious.

Pardon me my old friend but I think there are 2 questions there.

Firstly, the age old question ...should one renovate or knock down rebuild??
Well I am sure you know that the AV Jennings of this world dont make there cash on the $200 000 homes that they advertise. Everyone I know who has gone with these mobs ends up at least 50 k over their original budget.

Personally, I am stuck on why people need to buy new things all the time.
What purpose is a brand new house if you are only going to live there for ten years???
As you can tell, I look for the shell and then try to do my own renovations like you Melonski. You pay overs for a house thats already been vamped!!!


As for the second issue.......
Yes I can see that you have missed your calling.
You should have been the ultimate capitalist and become a lawyer.

It really is a dangerous situation to have minority groups such as the greens with so much pull in the current government.
Its another year of pain and I feel we are a 50% chance of imploding again globally.

If you would like to build a reactor in your home I say...wonderful.
Just make sure you onsell to the chinese, as long as there is a fishtank somewhere they wont care!
