                * Footy cards had a stick of gum in the pack and we used to play flicks rather than just collect and preserve the cards.

                * The bus trip to the old salt water pools at Cabarita for the School Swimming carnival

                * 10c for a pack of 30 eucaliptus lollies

                * School lunch orders

                * Agro's cartoon Connection

                * Mr Doobee (and i am talking about the BEE !) and waiting for the lady on the show to call your name when she looked into the window (needless to say, Mario was NEVER named !)

                  There wasn't much ethnic content on Romper Room back then. If there was, Miss Helena would've not only called out Peter, Mark, John and Susan ....she would've called out Mario, Guido, Maria, Fong and Fatima !

                      I remember sneaking into the lounge room and hiding behind a chair, then peaking around the corner when the Adventures of Alvin Purple would come on!

                      What about the wrestling that was on TV of a Saturday morning? Used to love going to visit my Grandparents in Canberra so we could watch the wrestling.

                      I also remember when Russell Fairfax was the rarest of the Scanlen Footy Cards and I bought a pack and opened it and there he was! It was like Charlie winning a Golden Ticket!

                          Dirt gutters.

                          All day peddlers.

                          Crash gear boxes.
